As usual, our Carnival is at risk as we always struggle for volunteers - why not HELP and keep our Carnival going year after year. An offer of even 1 hour would be most useful on the day. Please contact us via email or just turn up at the next meeting.

Another Great

Brinsley Carnival

It's a NEW look again to this years carnival, we are not having floats due to insurance reasons, but because of this many more groups have already entered for the parade.

DON'T forget, we still have several fantastic CASH prizes to give the best parade groups.

The route this year was from Hall Lane, along Church Lane (A608) pass Moorlands nursing home, past the Carnival field to the far entrance, where the parade will make it's entrance to the arena.

The results of the parade groups judging was announced on stage.

Itinerary for the Carnival 2008

12:00 noon	Fancy Dress at the Robin Hood, Hall Lane
12:15 pm	Fancy Dress judging
12:30 pm	Parade assembles at Hall Lane
12:40 pm	Parade judging by VIP guests and rosettes awarded
1:00 pm	Parade begins from Hall Lane; the route will be Church Lane and back to the arena.

1:10 pm	Traditional Punch & Judy
1:30 pm	Parade enters arena – pose for photos
1:40 pm	Official Opening Ceremony Winners of fancy dress and parade announced and prize giving
2:00 pm	John Evans Head Balancer
2:00 pm	Traditional Punch & Judy
2:25 pm	Belly Dancers on stage
2:35 pm	Seaforth Highlander Pipe Band
3:00 pm	Creole Serenaders jazz band on stage
3:05 pm	Traditional Punch & Judy
3:20 pm	John Evans Head Balancer
4:00 pm	Seaforth Highlander Pipe Band
